Healthy Living, Homesteading & Sharing Arbonne:
For the past 6+ years of my life, I have lived a more holistic lifestyle (inside & out). Small-scale homesteading has become a big part of my life. I moved from an apartment in the big city, bought an old country home, swapped my bus pass for a beater truck and took in some rescue pets. I built gardens, animals houses, joined a local eco club and had a 5-year plan on what I wanted my personal life to be about and just approached that mark recently. What was missing? My skincare, beauty, nutrition supplements and mindful practices were not where I wanted them to be. That is when I met someone (funny enough when I had my antique store) who introduced me to Arbonne. After testing their health & wellness products for over a year, I recently started sharing/selling them myself. They fit with my over all lifestyle as they are animal cruelty free, a B-corp business (which means they do their best to be planet-friendly) and they offer only vegan and gluten free (plant-based) which I love. I am a busy bee and it is really helpful for me to integrate these items into my life. I have never felt better! Just turned 35 and feel like I am in the best shape of my life, because I am. Piece & Quiet, Antiques, Collectibles & Nostalgia:
For the past 20+ years of my life I have been saving awesome pieces from the landfill (dumps), repurposing old goods and create a means for people to buy recycled goods. Over the past 5 years I have completed my studies at the Asheford Institute of Antiques, opened a brick and mortar second-hand store (called Piece & Quiet), which I closed just before the Covid-19 pandemic so it now resides as an online facebook (https://www.facebook.com/PieceandQuiet) local spot for antique & vintage lovers to hang out. I shared my pieces, restoration projects and passions. Some of the most stunning and unique treasures to me are the ones that have previously belonged to someone else’s history and tell a story.
After spending countless hours talking about the things I discover in my travels, I wanted to create a quality online resource for people seeking information about all things antique and vintage. This blog has been running since 2014 and has over 200 posts for you to read. My love of things of the past came at a young age after spending countless hours antique & vintage household item hunting with my Father. I quickly started to appreciate the rarity of the objects I found, interesting aesthetics and the story behind where they derived from. I have a passion to uncover timeless pieces and enjoy re-purposing them to give them new life.
It is about healthy living, the sentimental value and good feelings.
