This evening if I do anything, I want to encourage you to take some time out this weekend to sit back and enjoy in the simple pleasures that life has to offer such as amazing music.
I am saving up for a vintage record player but in the meantime got a cute Crosley to allow me to go through my late uncles ridiculously good record collection. His collection is quite magical and features a diverse blend of delightful hits which I will share with you over time.
Music has always been a staple in my life – during the good times and the bad. I have been moved by music in unimaginable ways.
In 2016 my mother suddenly passed away and it has taken me time to build up the strength to listen to music again. I quit my singing lessons after I lost her and I didn’t play music in the car while driving for many weeks after her passing – it was too hard, too emotional, to raw.
Now it is 2017, I just turned 31 and not much time has gone by but I decided I would tap back into my feelings and put a record on.
I will sit back and listen to some classic hits and remember that though life brings us blood, sweat and tears those are the things that make us human and make life real.
Love,
Jewelz
