The History of Bonnie and Clyde

Here’s the story of Bonnie and Clyde.

Bonnie & Clyde first locked eyes while at a mutual friend’s house in January 1930.  Clyde was imprisoned shortly thereafter in April.

It was not until the Great Depression that Bonnie Elizabeth Parker and Clyde Chestnut Barrow really began committing the noteworthy crimes which would eventually “poster child” them as American Outlaws we know of today.

Their crime spree took place from 1932-1934 and ended on May 23, 1934. Bonnie & Clyde were shot to death while in a stolen Ford Deluxe during a police ambush in Bienville Parish, Louisiana.

I never really looked into the lives of these well known robbers until today and I must say was quite drawn into their life stories.

What sparked my interest in the pair? Though the hip hop treatment by Beyonce and Jay-Z with its B & C theming is catchy something else triggered my desire to know more.

I was actually looking up the Top 10 money making collectors’ items  when I came across a write up on two Bonnie and Clyde guns that sold for $504,000 in 2012. They were on the dangerous duo the day they died.

This Thursdays tip is if you ever find anything Bonnie & Clyde don’t worry about getting a steal of a deal – grab the item and run – straight to your local auction.
